(Ok I can’t wait any longer for this part!)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
BANG!
Someone got shot.
You looked around the room, trying to see who was the unfortunate victim of the bullet. You looked left. Berwald and Lukas looked up, paler than usual with your unconscious dad underneath them. You looked to your right. Tino and Emil had emerged from the living room, terror placed on their faces. You look behind you at your mother, who was now on the ground moaning from being jerked into a wall and hitting her head. You looked in front of you to see Matthias, mouth opened in shock at you. All eyes were on you and your torso. You look down.
You had gotten shot.
As soon as you realized it, pain surged through your body as you fell to your knees. The wound was in your side, blood gushing out already. “_____!” Matthias cried as he kneeled next to, holding you close to his chest. “I’ll call 911!” shouted Tino.
The pain. It hurt. So much.
Black dots started clouded your vision, your eyelids getting heavy. “_____, just stay with me, ok? You’re going to be ok. I promise.” He kept saying comforting things into your ear while pressing on your wound with his coat to make the bleeding stop or slow down. All the sounds around you became slurred and distant as the black dots seemed to expand. “_____, just stay awake. I know you’re tired, but you need to stay awake. Please,” Matthias shook you a little to make sure you would stay awake, pleading for your life. “Matthias,” you whispered. “I’m so… t-tired,” “I know, but just keep your eyes open, ok? That’s all you have to do. Help is on the way.” He looked up at Tino who had called the police and an ambulance. “They’ll be here soon,” he nodded reassuringly. Matthias had all his attention on you, supporting your head upwards so blood would circulate to your head. Your eyelids felt like they had chandeliers hanging from them. “M-Matthias…” The blackness consumed your vision until the only thing you saw was his beautiful image. Tears pricked the corners of his eyes, his mouth searching for words to say. Soon, his face began to fade like the rest of the world. The last sound you heard was a muffled “Hold on,” as you fell into a comma, your body trying to repair itself.
CHANGE POV
As her eyes began to close, I panicked. “No… No, no, no, no! _____! Stay with me! Please!!” Hot salty tears spilled from my cheeks. It was too late. Her body grew limp in my arms as the sirens came close to the house. I cried into the crook of her neck. I was so close. So close to making her mine forever. Now she was gone. The medics came and had to literally pull her out of my grasp, and I argued about riding with her to the hospital. They finally caved in, thinking it might be the last time I see her. I climbed into the back and watched carefully as they worked on my precious _____. They first checked her vital signs. She was still alive. I looked up and silently thanked God, even though I’m not catholic or anything. But with what she was going through right now, we would need prayers and a miracle. They checked the wound. It was already becoming infected. The medics looked at each other nervously. I understood why.
We pulled up to the hospital and the medics jumped out of the ambulance and ran to the emergency room. I tried to follow, but the doctors were stern. I was about to start a huge argument when I saw my friends come up from behind me, minus Tino. “Matthias!” Emil shouted while Berwald apologized to the doctor. Lukas took my arm and had to drag me to the waiting space, and forced me to sit down. “You don’t understand! I need to see her!” I roared at Lukas. “You’d only get in the way, you stupid Dane! Would you rather risk her life just to see her or let her have another shot at life?!” Lukas roared back. I was going to respond when I realized he was right. I buried my head into my hands and mourned. “I… I’m sorry. You’re right. I’m just… scared. If anything happens to her…” I trailed off, knowing Lukas understood what I meant. He sat down beside me and awkwardly patted my back. “She’ll be fine,” he stated, as if he knew she would walk out of here perfectly healthy. I chuckled, playing along and trying to reassure myself, too. “Yeah, she will.”
The rest of the Nordics eventually found their ways to the waiting spot and joined Lukas and I. We waited.
And waited.
And waited.
Peter had fallen asleep, Emil was dosing off, Lukas looked over the room dozens of times, Berwald was staring at the wall across the room, and I paced back and forth around the area. Tino had to go deliver presents, he was late as it already was. No one spoke. Not a single word. So it was surprising to hear Berwald say out of the blue, “Wh’t a sh’ty way t’ sp’nd Chr’stmas.” I started to laugh. “Yeah, it really is.” “Maybe we can try again on New Year’s,” Emil offered. “That sounds like a great plan!” I exclaimed, regaining some of my lost joy.
A doctor entered. “Who is with the woman patient?” “We are,” I said, gesturing to all if us. The doctor pointed at me and wagged her finger at me, saying to come with her. I obeyed as she led me to a large, glass window. “She was in critical condition. She had less then a 25% chance of living,” she said, looking into the room the window was behind. I followed her gaze and saw _____, hooked up to machines and medical devices of all sorts. “But thanks to our doctors and by some sort of miracle, she will be alright. She’ll just need time,” she finished, looking at me with hope. I sighed in relief and thanked her profusely. “But, when I say by ‘some miracle’, I’m serious. Where she got shot, it should’ve killed her instantly. But somehow… It didn’t. And she heals faster than any human being I’ve ever seen.” She pointed at _____. “You’re lucky. Now, if you want to spend the night, I could arrange that, assuming you’re… together?” The doctor tilted her head slightly. “Yeah, we’re together. That would be lovely, if you would. I’ll go talk to my friends about it,” I gave her a small wave before heading back to my friends. They perked up when they saw me, hoping for good news. “She’s alright,” I said with a grin. A sigh of relief filled the room. I explained everything the doctor had told me, and stated that I was staying here with _____. “Keep an eye on her, ok?” Emil said with worry, but his bland face did not show it. “I will. I’ll keep you all updated.” We said our farewells and I got myself situated in the bed the hospital was providing for me.
There was nearly no one there. Not many people in Denmark got even close to hospitals near the seasons. Only a few doctors walked past from time to time. I turned and faced _____, who seemed to be sleeping peacefully. I watched her chest rise up and down, glad she was breathing. I eyes eventually got tired and fluttered shut, falling into a relaxing sleep.
She made it out alive.
